The Process

{If you are a client in CA, the flow is different since Liz lives in Arizona… AZ clients, please read on so you know what to expect.}

For several years I have met my clients for the first time at the chosen location, had a blast shooting for an hour and then they would receive their digital images and be on their way. Some would email me about ideas for prints but most would get those images and their beautiful pictures would just sit for years on the computer.

I am so relieved that now it has changed. My objective with every shoot is to provide beautiful artwork for your walls that you will be able to enjoy for years to come. The process is divided into 3 meeting… The Pre-Consultation, The Photoshoot and Your Ordering Session.

pre-consultationYour photography session includes a pre-consulation. The objective of this meeting is for us to get to know each other so I can create the perfect session for you. I want to tell your family’s story and showcase the relationships. Your pre-session consultation with Liz can take place either in your home, at her home office or over the phone. One thing we will discuss is the mood and style you want conveyed thru your photos. To get you thinking about your session style I will provide you with a small questionnaire before we meet. This form includes style options like natural, industrial, rustic, urban and more. This will help us pick a location and and then get ideas for clothing. and any props if we want to incorporate something. More than anything it gives ups  chance to meet and that makes your photoshoot even more comfortable and familiar. In addition I will also photograph or have you provide me with pictures of walls where you intend to display your photographic art. We have invested in software that enables us to put in your walls and show you exactly what your pictures will look like at different sizes. We will need these pictures for your ordering session.

your-photoshoot

Lifestyle portraiture is a little different from what you may have experienced in the past. It is as individual as each and every client.

At your lifestyle photo session, there will be times that I will pose you for a particular picture, and there will be other times I want to capture you and the relationship between those in the portraits. Relaxing is the key. We may hang out and talk. I may find a wonderful spot and place you there. While you are there, I may see something and ask you to adjust a position slightly, or I may just shoot the way I see it. Other times, I may want to be a silent observer and capture moments as I see them. If clients can forget that I am there, these make the best portraits.

Rarely do I do “say cheese” pictures. Remember, it is all about capturing real moments and the real you.

ordering-sessionTwo to three weeks after your session you will have a viewing and ordering session at Liz’s home office in Seville. You will be presented with a beautiful slideshow of your images and shown samples of our boutique and fine art products. You will also receive your beautiful proofing book which you can take home. We will then narrow down your pictures into “keeper’s”, “maybe’s” and “no’s”. I will pull up your walls and we will take the time to put together wall clusters, pictures or choose images for albums or image boxes. The ordering session takes between 1-2 hours. When you leave, you will have all your pictures picked out for your home so when they arrive you can enjoy them as art on your walls for years to come. After your ordering session you will also be given a 14-day password protected online gallery to share with family or friends who may be interested in ordering pictures.
